A TASTE OF THE CONCERT

Finally, they joined forces! Virtuoso bassist Matheus Nicolaiewsky (Francesca Tandoy, Rosenberg Brothers) stellar pianist Henrique Gomide (Caixa Cubo, Guinga, Toninho Horta), and renowned drummer/percussionist Mauro Martins (Tania Maria, Airto Moreira, Toquinho), come together as three leading voices of the Brazilian music scene in Europe.
Joined by Seamus Blake on saxophone and EWI, the quartet presents groove-driven, modern arrangements of works by Tom Jobim, Dorival Caymmi, and other giants of Brazil’s vast musical landscape, as well as fusion heroes Jaco Pastorius and Yellowjackets.
Deep grooves expanded by tight interplay and Herbie-esque harmonic surprises.
Suitable for fans of Weather Report, Azymuth and Eliane Elias.
